Discussion starter · #2 · sep 2, 2014. I have found the kd tools #3950 a for a 6. 0 looks like the holder is correct but is the wrench the same size for a 6. 0 vs 6. 4. The tuner unit wiggled off of its hdmi cable, so i plugged it back in. After i plugged it back in the fan clutch would not disengage.

Hopefully this helps you out a little better than the first one..
One very important thing that I didn't mention in the video make sure to check the water pump cavity for wear. Don't want coolant mixing in with your oil if you see a lot of wear might as well replace the front cover. Always make sure which way to loosen up the fan clutch don't hurt yourself. Not everything is counterclockwise. Don't over due your hit on the fan cluch remember the front cover is aluminum.
This is the quickest and easiest way I’ve found to tell if a fan clutch is left hand threads or right hand threads! Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
