Is your ford f250 6.0 powerstroke sluggish at low rpms? Mine was and I checked around and found that the vacuum hose from the intake manifold and the map sensor was old and cracked. So for about a dollars worth of vacuum hose at the local auto parts store, I was able to fix my loss of power issues. This issue started after the FICM was replaced. I have checked the ICP also and don't have a clue to what truly is causing this issue. I will be checking the EGR Valve tomorrow but the truck does start, but you can floor the throttle and have very little response. There is also a hard shift issue that became apparent at the exact same time. Please let me know if you know what's going on.

I found a truck that is a border line no start. It gave to a good opportunity to try and explain the relationship between the ICP and IPR.

Noticed that I had no boost until 1800 RPM. Major turbo lag. Was throwing the PO 470 and PO 299 codes. Upon further inspection found that the EBP sensor was completely blocked. Ordered a new sensor and cleaned the tube that connects the sensor to the manifold. Also found that the CAC cold side tube was cracked. See part 2 – youtu.be/9ffezD8yo2Q

Final Words

No codes on it at all. The p0401 code on the 6. 0 powerstroke simply means an issue with your vehicle’s exhaust gas recirculation (egr) valve. Moreover, this is one of the most common dtc codes users.

6.0 Powerstroke No Power No Codes. My 6. 0 powerstroke has no power until it warms up. I had noticed a small oil leak coming from the back of the engine. I've done the research and it seems that the 2003 engines have a habit of killing icp sensors.
