It could also possibly point to some part of the system being on the way out (ie. Vgt valve) that the srl tune is. It should be around 85 at idle and 15 under full load.

Joined jul 28, 2010. Discussion starter · #1 · aug 22, 2011 (edited) i have a friend that has 2003 f250 with a 6. 0. It has absolutely no power, almost feels like the turbo. Possibly a power surge or a loose connection somewhere.
Also find the egr position and make sure that's not stuck. It should be either close to zero or close to 5 with koeo. Ive got a 2003 6. 0 in a f250 with 208,000 miles. I’ve got no power before getting to 2500 rpm.

I had one here that is actually pretty common. When the boost or manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is not responding correctly the PCM will control the veins like a pop off or dump valve and not allow boost to build. sometimes it's as simple as a split hose.
I have a 2004 F-250 with a 6.0 and am having a serious issue. The truck has about 240,000 miles and has been great until now. About a week ago the truck was running great and had plenty of power. I decided to wash it with my pressure washer (did not spray under the hood, however I did spray in the front wheel wells and underneath the truck). About 5 minutes after washing the truck, I took it out for a drive and noticed when I really got on the accelerator the truck would not want to try…
I had an issue with my 97 F-250 Powerstroke where I'd occasionally hit the throttle and I'd have only Idle or very little power with the old 7.3 in limp mode. Was it the IVS (Idle Validation Switch)? Was it the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) or something else? Is your ford f250 6.0 powerstroke sluggish at low rpms? Mine was and I checked around and found that the vacuum hose from the intake manifold and the map sensor was old and cracked. So for about a dollars worth of vacuum hose at the local auto parts store, I was able to fix my loss of power issues. In the video I say vacuum travels through the tube, its actually transferring pressure from the manifold to the MAP sensor. I guess I said vacuum because it was on my mind and in my hand. 6.0…
A 6.0 Powerstroke with no throttle response is becoming a fairly common issue as these engines get older. On my Excursion with the 6.0 Powerstroke, the throttle response was intermittent, making for a tough diagnosis. I spent over $3,000 at the dealer, yet experienced the same throttle response issue on the way home. While it can be a major problem, it can also be a bad sensor or sensor connection. Try these 5 checks before you start throwing money and parts at the problem.
