2006 F250 Dash Lights Not Working

2006 F250 Dash Lights Not Working. Discussion starter · #9 · mar 13, 2009. Just fyi guys, pulled the 2 plugs out of the climate control unit, checked them for power with a light tester (found two wires supplying power), & plugged them back into the unit. Go figure. but happy it's ok.

The first thing to check is that the tail light fuse is. The dash lights usually run through the radio connector as well so, if you cut and spliced, you may have missed the wire for your dash lights ( check your oem harness connector for a jumper wire going from one terminal to another, this is probably your dash light circuit taking power coming in to your radio and jumping it to the wire leading out to your dash lights ). Key on engine off turn on the 4×4.

2006 Ford F-250 5.4L Dash Light half functioning – Ford Truck

Pretty common issue on the 2002-04 Superduty and Excursion where the cluster is erratic and the windows and radio also go out. Here I explain the issue and what the fix options are and how to change out that cluster.. 2006 F250 Dash Lights Not Working

Thanks for the help everyone! If you're gonna go through the trouble to change the lights i'd suggest replacing all of them with led's, they looked great in my silverado! Dash lights are on the same fuse as the tail lights. Dash lights not working is an indication that the tail lights are not working.

(some trucks will require engine run but ours should not) then find the hose that goes to the hubs. On the hose there will be a point on top. Locate those two terminals on the connector, and carefully connect a jumper wire between them. This simulates pulling the switch to the park position.

While this is a 2006 Ford Ranger (3.0L), this seems to be a common issue for many vehicles. Dash lights do not come on (except for idiot lights), or perhaps the dash lights only work intermittently. I checked the forums and saw this issue come up often, but never saw a solution. Once I figured it out, I thought I should share because this can be a costly one, especially if you take your vehicle to a mechanic or dealer. I have included vehicle specific information towards the end of this…

Final Words

See if the lights go on. If they do, that suggests it's the switch itself not doing its job. If they still don't go on, you've got a problem elsewhere, probably wiring.

2006 F250 Dash Lights Not Working. I have 2006 f250 super duty, i have running lights on trailer but no turn signals or brake lights. The trail lights all work on my other ford truck. If indeed you have the wiring correct, brown for run.
