I changed brake switch lights in rear. The wires were ran at the factory and at one time worked right that is what im treing to fix with out spliceing into wires. Just hook the clip of the light up to a good ground and touch the two metal tabs on top of the fuse. There is no need to pull the fuse for this. It should be “hot” on both sides. 2001 silverado 1500 4×4, rear brakes lights not working, third brake light on the cab does work.

The problem was the two brake lights were not working but the top brake light was coming on..
