How to install a 1" shank ball on a draw bar hitch. The torque on a 1" shank from U-Haul is 215 ft/lbs should you not have any more nylon washers. I have read that U-Haul calls for 125 ft/lbs for 3/4" shank balls but I haven't seen it written anywhere formally. Don't bother with getting a hitch wrench locally, U-Haul used to sell a 1-1/4" x 1-5/8" wrench but it is no longer available…other wrenches on the market are a 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" so they are not usable.
